The Market Chatter

--Keeping it fresh, unique and local. September 29 , 2020

I HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE

One of the markets best kept secrets is about to be let out of the bag. WE ARE OPEN ALL OF OCTOBER!!!! Wow although the weather can sometimes test our endurance we show up every Saturday through the month of October. This year the last Saturday falls on October 31st so you might even find a couple of spooky characters there. Come enjoy a hot cider, walk in the crunchy fall leaves, and store up on some of your favorite late season produce.

What can you find at the market in October?

Pumpkins and winter squash, Honeycrisp Apples and fresh pressed cider, potatoes, onions, cool weather greens, honey, jam, mini donuts and hot scones, handmade crafts .......

Vendor Stall Highlights

Russ of High Desert Kettle Corn has been a member of the market for many years. He sells his amazing kettle corn through every season of the market. It hits just the right spot for those who love a slightly sweet and salty snack. YUM! In the summer months he does Snowie snow cones and lemonade to keep you cool.

Gemma Beads & Design sell unique hand crafted jewelry. Misty has been a part of the Artisan and Farmers market for many years. Specializing in turning antique typewriter keys into one of a kind necklaces, bracelets and earrings. This year she has added fitted facemasks to her line up. They are as cute as they are functional.

Community Corner

The Idaho Falls Farmers Market would like to thank the great community of Idaho Falls and the many people who come to the market and support our vendors. Supporting small local businesses has big impact. Supporting small family farms makes a positive imprint in our economy and environment. Thank you Parks and Rec department for closing the street and preparing the venue for us early each Saturday morning. We would also like to thank the Downtown community for being supportive of our presence and we hope that we add to the draw and appeal of shopping downtown.

Suggestion Box

As market comes to a close for the 2020 season we will take a few weeks off to enjoy the holidays and then it will be time to gear up again. Do you have a great idea or suggestion for the market? We think that positive suggestions are worth considering and we really would like to serve the community in the best way possible. Many ideas and changes take a lot of planning and consideration by our board of directors and possibly the city of Idaho Falls Parks and Recreation so now is the time to share.

Please share at idahofallsfarmersmarket@gmail.com put "Suggestion Box" in the subject line. Thanks
